Albert Bisland (1945 - 2025)
Albert Henry Bisland, 79, of White Plains, NY died in Naples, FL after a long battle with congestive heart failure on January 1st, 2025.
Al, as he was affectionately known, was born in White Plains, NY on March 1, 1945 to parents Marie and Albert Bisland. He served in the United States Air Force during the Vietnam War. Al completed his bachelor's and master's degrees and spent his career as an accountant. He met his wife, Donna in 1982 and the two married in 1985. Donna and Al lived in Trumbull Connecticut, where they spent many wonderful years raising their two sons before retiring to Florida.
Albert loved boating, traveling, reading, cooking, spending time with his family, and football. He spent many happy summers with his wife and children boating to Nantucket where his family will gather this summer to lay him to rest.
Albert is survived by his wife, Donna, his sisters Peggy and Janet, his children, Brian, Colleen, Matthew (Rebecca) and Corey, and his grandchildren, John and William. Al was known for his kindness, witty sense of humor, thoughtful approach to life and calm and caring demeanor. A steady captain in even the stormiest of waters, he will be deeply missed by all those who had the privilege of knowing him.
Visitation will be held at Collins Funeral Home in Norwalk, CT on January 11th, 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM followed by a memorial service.
