Magera, Alice A.
Alice A. Magera age 92 of Orange, formerly of Trumbull, beloved wife of over 53 years to the late Michael Magera passed peacefully on Tuesday March 8, 2016 at the home of her daughter Sharon. Born in Lowell, MA. She was the daughter of the late George and Sultana Meliotis Karmas. A retired secretary for her brothers company, Met-L-Test Labs where she worked for over 40 years and would always be seen with her cherry and pleasant smile greeting all the customers. An avid gardener who loved the outdoors where she could always be found. A loving mom, grandmother and great-grandmother whose life centered upon her family and friends.
Survivors include her three children Michael (Regina) Magera of Shelton, Sharon (Roland) Magera Gunter of Orange, Cam Magera of Milford, three grandchildren: Holly Magera of Providence, RI., David Magera of Milford, Laura Magera of Charlotte, NC., two great-grandchildren Faith and Terell, her brother George Karmas Jr. of Milford, sister-in-law Natalie Karmas of Stratford, several nieces nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews. Alice was preceded by her husband Michael Magera of Trumbull, brothers, Wiliam (Mabel) Karmas of Orange, Charles(Natalie) Karmas of Stratford, sisters Cynthia (Paul) Nemergut of Stratford, Annastasia (Ed) Hungerford of Trumbull, a sister-in-law Marleen Karmas of Milford.
Calling hours will take place on Sunday March 13, 2016 from 1pm to 4pm in the Commerce Hill Funeral Home, 4798 Main St. Bridgeport. Funeral services will be held on Monday at 11:30am in the funeral home with visitation after 11am, followed by interment in Mountain Grove Cemetery, Easton.
