Alice Okarmus Obituary
Alice Okarmus, one day shy of 100 years old, beloved wife of the late Joseph Okarmus, went home to the Lord, Saturday, October 12, 2013 at her home surrounded by her family. Alice was a lifetime member of St. Anthony of Padua Church, Fairfield. She enjoyed crossword puzzles, gardening, and visiting family when able to. Survivors include three sons; James Okarmus and his wife Charlotte, Joe Okarmus and his wife Annette, John Okarmus and his wife Marlene, six grandchildren, ten great grandchildren, one great great grandchild and numerous nieces. In lieu of flowers donations may be made in Alice's name to: Vitas Hospice, 99 Haley Lane, Suite 1204, Stratford, CT 06614.

I'm sorry to hear about your Mom. She was such a worker and independent person. She was lucky to have loving family near by to help her in her later years even if she didn't always want the help. I'm glad my Mom and I were able to visit her after she came home from rehab.
