Aline Friedman, age 96, passed away peacefully, surrounded by her loving family, on September 25, 2025. Aline was loved by many for her humor, wit and loving kindness.
Born in Bridgeport, CT, she was the daughter of Aaron and Josepha Kanter and sister to Attorney Joel Kanter and Roberta Kanter. Aline was married for 67 years to Mr. Roy Friedman, President of Standard Oil of Connecticut in Bridgeport, Connecticut. Aline devoted her life to her three daughters and husband. She earned a Master's Degree in Education at Syracuse University and Yale University, where she taught elementary school in Stratford, Connecticut. Her hobbies included: skiing, tennis, reading, bridge and swimming.
Aline joined her husband, Roy Friedman for eternity. She is survived by her three daughters, Joy Hoffman and her three sons: Paul, Andrew and Daniel Hoffman, Nancy Cohen and husband, David in Fairfield, Connecticut and children, Jessica Klarberg and husband, Ryan and their daughter, Ella, Jeff and Peter Cohen and Leslie Kramer and husband, Dr. David Kramer of Ridgefield and their three daughters: Caroline, Jennifer and Allison Kramer.
A private double funeral will be held September 25. Shiva will be held on Thursday, September 25, 5 – 8 p.m. at Mozaic Senior Life, 4200 Park Avenue, Bridgeport, CT for both Aline and Roy Friedman.
