Amelia (Lukomske) Garvey
Amelia May Garvey (Millie), widow of Harold Thomas Garvey, Jr. (Tom), passed away at her home with family by her side on November 30, 2021. She was born on March 9, 1938, to the late John Henry and Amelia (Pinero) Lukomske.
Before taking on the role of loving homemaker and mom, the dearest to her heart, she graduated from Mademoiselle School of Modeling and worked at Howland's Dry Goods and later Handy and Harman. Millie was a beloved wife, mother, and grandmother who delighted in spoiling her grandsons. She enjoyed making custom cards for family and friends for any and all events, including, birthdays, holidays, weddings, anniversaries, condolences, and so much more. In 1991, the family genealogy research mantel was passed to her, and she continued to work on it with her daughter until this year.
She leaves behind four children, Kimberly Garvey (fiancé Rich Martinez), Kristine Kudey (husband Edmund Kudey, Jr.), Kerri Garvey and Kevin Garvey (wife Meghan). She also leaves behind four grandchildren, Edmund Kudey, III (Eddie), Thomas Kudey (Tommy), Colton Garvey and Lochlan Garvey, sister-in-law Joan Lukomske and many cousins, nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her brother John Anthony Lukomske.
Friends and family are invited to attend her funeral services on Monday, December 6, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. at the Cyril F. Mullins Funeral Home, 399 White Plains Rd. Trumbull, CT. Interment to follow in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Trumbull, CT.
