Ann Alexios Obituary

Alexios, Ann
Alexios, Ann (Maryann) Lipari Alexios, 94 of Fairfield left us Tuesday, January 31, 2017 at Jewish Senior Services, Bridgeport with her daughter Julie by her side. She was born October 15, 1922 in Bridgeport to the late Vito Lipari of Alcamo, Italy and Nancy (Carmelina) Schibeci Lipari Dattolo, of Palermo. Italy. She married Thomas Alexios on July 18, 1945. She graduated from Laurelton Hall in 1940 and attended the College of New Rochelle and the Julliard School of Music. Ann was an accomplished pianist and performed several recitals in her youth. She was very active at the Fairfield Senior Center and served as Secretary for the Fairfield Senior Center Assoc. for about 20 years before resigning in 2012. She also volunteered in the library and the kitchen. However, what should be best remembered is that she had the kindest heart and a sense of humor that touched more people than she ever knew. For this, Ann will be painfully missed and forever remembered. She is survived by her 3 children; Julie Pavia (husband John) of Monroe, Thomas Alexios of Kansas and Anne Sabo of Stratford. Also, her 9 grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren and nephew. Predeceased by her father Vito, mother Nancy and brother Joseph Lipari. The service will be held on Monday, February 6, 10:00 am at Saint Jude Roman Catholic Church, 707 Monroe Tpke. (Route 111), Monroe. Interment will be held at St. John's Cemetery, 500 Moose Hill Rd., Monroe. Services arranged by Spadaccino and Leo P. Gallagher & Son Community Funeral Home. No flowers please.
