My Mom was "Magical"..
Breakfast smelled of over perked coffee, Wonderbread toasted with tons of butter and cinammon mixed with sugar for a topping!
But yet the best part was the "Tea", in a china cup with a saucer. After you drank it, Ma would say "turn the cup upside down on the saucer, and turn it 3 times..make a wish..Done...
Then she would hold it up to the light and say "I see a letter, you'll get a letter in the mail". There's someone in the cup "you will get a visitor" etc. And then, she would see the "Tear" and it would drip out of the cup....I was mesmerized...and yet the next morning I couldn't wait to hear it all over again.."Magical"
Today I understand the "tears".
There were many life's lessons in that cup of Tea, which I am just realizing as I share this story.
Thank you Mom for your endless love and patience. God bless you and keep you in his care. I love you to the moon and Back..Mary
