Anna Marie Dion

DION Mrs. Anna Marie Dion, age 83, of Milford, beloved wife of the late Robert Leo Dion Sr., died on Monday, February 23, 2004, in Milford Health Care Center. Daughter of the late Andrew and Elizabeth Takacs Babasick, she was born on September 19, 1920, in Bridgeport, and was a longtime resident of Milford. Mrs. Dion was a supervisor at the former Waterbury Lock in Milford. Devoted mother of Robert L. Dion Jr. and his wife, Joann, of Shelton, Douglas A. Dion and his wife, Sheila, of Bethany, James E. Dion of Meriden, Elizabeth A. Bloxsom and her husband, William, and Daniel L. Dion and his wife, Jill, all of Milford. She also leaves 14 grandchildren, Robert III, Edward, Kirstin, Sayer, Callie, Robin, Jaime, Jared, Justin, Kylie, Katie, Morgan, Andrew, and Rachel; five great-grandchildren; two brothers, John Babasick of Greenville, S.C., Joseph Babasick and his wife, Phyllis, of Stratford; and a sister-in-law, Rose Babasisk of Watertown. She was predeceased by a brother, Andrew Babasick. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday, February 26 at 10 a.m. in Christ The Redeemer Church, Milford. Interment in Milford Cemetery. Friends may call on Wednesday from 4 to 8 p.m. at the Cody-White Funeral Home, 107 Broad Street on the Green, Milford.
