Anthony Salvaggio Obituary
Anthony Salvaggio, age 68, of Stratford, beloved husband of Bernadette Goula Salvaggio, passed away on Saturday, October 4, 2014 in Bridgeport Hospital. Anthony, a retired Manager for Key Hyundai of Milford was born in Bridgeport, to the late Steven and Rose (Costa) Salvaggio and has been a life long area resident. Prior to his employment at Key Hyundai, he was the Assistant Treasurer for Mechanics and Farmers Savings Bank of Bridgeport, for many years. Survivors in addition to his beloved wife of forty-eight years, include his devoted daughter, Cindy Salvaggio of Shelton, sisters, Donna Cantafio and her husband Frank of Huntington, and Stephanie Salvaggio of Stratford, a niece and a nephew. Funeral services and interment are private and have been entrusted to the Adzima Funeral Home 50 Paradise Green Place, Stratford. When I learned of Tony's passing I was deeply saddened. My dad worked with him at Mechanics and Farmers savings bank many years ago, and I always found him to be a very kind and personable man with a great sense of humor - always smiling. We had some fabulous times together, and he will be deeply missed. The last time I saw him was about 2 years ago when I was visiting from Georgia. At that time we had not seen each other for many years, but he did remember me, and we had a great conversation. My earliest memory of Tony was when my Dad worked with him at Mechanics and Farmers Bank. We would pick up Tony for work and then I'd get dropped off at my kindergarten class at Franklin School. I also remember when Cindy was a newborn and we'd visit at your place in Bridgeport. Tony was always laughing and he made a difference in my life. Always finding humor and always having a smile. He adored Bernie and Cindy, more than they'll ever know. Rest in peace, Tony. We all love you.

Bernie, Tony cooked me my first live lobster and mussels at your house on New Eve's Year back in the 70's. He was a nice person, and he will be missed. So very sorry for your loss.
