Basil Persaud Obituary
Basil Persaud, aged 70 of Bridgeport died Wednesday, February 27, 2013 at St. Vincent's Medical Center. He was the beloved husband of Gloria (Loraine) Pereira Persaud. Born in Guyana, South America Mr. Persaud was a retired Customer Service Rep who was employed by Pitney Bowes for 20 years. In addition to his wife he is survived by his loving son, Michael Persaud of Bridgeport, brother Vishnu Persaud and grandson Kelvin Persaud, of Canada. Daughter-in-law, Hema Persaud, Sisters-in-law, Sonia and Margaret, god daughter, Nesa Beharry of Canada, and many nieces and nephews in New York, Canada, and Guyana. Funeral services will be held Monday at 10:30 a.m. in the Redgate-Hennessy Funeral Home, Main Street and Gorham Place, Trumbull. Interment will follow in Mountain Grove Cemetery, Bridgeport. Friends may call Sunday 2-5pm in the funeral home. In lieu of flowers please make a contribution in his memory to the American Cancer Society www.cancer.org.
