Bedia Baik Zakhour

ZAKHOUR Bedia Baik Zakhour, age 74, of Trumbull, beloved wife of John Zakhour, died on Monday, September 27, 2004, at Bridgeport Hospital. Born in Syria, she was the daughter of the late Mitchell and Frieda Rufka Baik. A Trumbull resident since 1976, she was a devoted member of St. Nicholas Orthodox Church giving most of her time and energy to St. Nicholas Church. Survivors in addition to her husband, John, her loving children, Virginia Zakhour of Branford, Louis Zakhour and Diana Zakhour, both of Trumbull; two sisters, Selma Dib and Lorraine Zabaneh, both of Trumbull; a brother, Wadih Bek of Bridgeport; several nieces and nephews. Friends are invited to attend the funeral services on Thursday, at 10 a.m. in St Nicholas Antiochian Orthodox Church, with the Rev. Noah Bushelli, officiating, the Rite of Burial. Interment will be in Lakeview Cemetery. Calling hours are on Wednesday from 5 to 8 p.m. in the Commerce Hill Funeral Home, 4798 Main Street, Bridgeport (on the Trumbull Line). Trisagion services are Wednesday evening at 7 p.m. in the funeral home.
