Some people come into your life for a reason, a season or a lifetime and leave footprints on your life. Belinda was my LIFETIME FRIEND! No matter when you met Bee, you were blessed to be able to call her friend. I'll hold on the the many fond memories we've shared as kids growing up in Beardsley Terrace, meeting at the bottom of the pathway that lead us up to WM. Samuel Johnson School, catching the Grey Line bus to CHS, rollerskating in the lobbies of bldg. 14 & 16, hangingout in downtown Bridgeport on Thursday nights playing ping-pong at the Crystal Palace, Friday night Sock Hops at the "Y" or taking a bus trip to Palisades Amusement Park in NJ. or just going to the movies at the old Lowes/Majestic theatres. Bee was one of the most caring and and upfront women I know. She was always there to assist you with helpful information weather personal or professional. She was never judgmental, but helped you see the error of your ways!! Bee had a beautiful spirit that was shown to all who knew her. No matter what was going on with her, she wore that wonderful trade mark smile of hers. RIP MY FOREVER LIFETIME FRIEND!

Butch is my big brother and Belinda is my sister-in-law. These are my Reflections of Belinda:
•For as long as I have been born, Butch and Belinda have been married. Belinda and Butch had been married for 47 years.
•She always adored her only son, Joey. Joey and Belinda could finish each other's sentences. These two were thicker than thieves. Butch never had a chance in the house for anything he wanted with Belinda and Joey always conspiring against him and voting together.
•Belinda was always into her husband, her only son, her Mom, her brothers and sisters, nieces and nephews, cousins and her in laws. Family First! She always knew if she hit the lottery she knew exactly how she was going to divide up the money between herself, Butch and Joey, her brother and sisters and her brother and sister-in-laws.
•Belinda would often tell us the story how every girl around her area envied her. She was the only girl who had a boyfriend that made a credit for her with the ice cream man. Butch told the ice cream man to give his girl, Belinda and her friends anything they wanted and he would pay him every Friday.
•Belinda liked to fish but never cooked it or ate fish; it was bewildering to us how she would come back from fishing and would eat steak.
•She was the Queen of the Kitchen. My father loved when Belinda was in the house, he knew Belinda would have his Breakfast nice and hot. She would put Butch's breakfast plate on the side then everyone else could eat. Belinda was a great cook - anything she cooked was delicious. We are going to miss her pies and cakes. We are mostly going to miss her Fried Turkeys made to perfection.
•Anyone who did not have a Man she would try to play match maker. She encouraged people to find their True Love just like she did.
•Unlike the new generation of married couples, including myself, she always made sure her husband's plate was made or put on the side for him to eat later.
•As long as we had family events she was always there. Every wedding, graduation, family reunion, etc. Butch and Belinda were always there.
•She was always a big fan of the Family Talent Show at Thanksgiving. The kids, our nieces and nephews would display their talents after dinner, by singing, dancing, reciting a poem, etc. She was the manager and she always made sure that all of the adults in the room would put some money in the hat when they passed the hat. The money was divided up amongst the nieces and nephews. Belinda and all of us would take our nieces and nephews to NYC for the day or we would go shopping on Black Friday or we would go to the movies.
•She was an avid Jets football team fan. I think that was the only thing that she and Joey had a difference, Joey is a Pittsburgh Steelers fan and Belinda is a Jets fan.
•She always was proud to be from Bridgeport, Connecticut. Anytime we would go up against with friendly family feud or disagreement. One of us might say you can't beat us were from Newark. Belinda would not fret she would just bark back and say, so what, I am from Bridgeport. We have to stop and think about it for a moment. These two cities are about the same equivalence. We would all laugh and then the feud would be over.
As you can very well tell, we are truly going to miss Belinda. She has been an important person in our family.
You may have gone from our eyesight's but you will Never be forgotten or taken from our hearts.
We love you,
The Rogers Family aka the Jersey Crew
(The Jefferson's; the Crawford's; the Mayes' Families)

Belinda was an avid NY Jets fan!

As we travel this road of life our Foot Prints are what we leave behind.
What we represent, our values and the impact we have on others.
Yes! Belinda's journey has forever etched in our hearts what it means to be loved, the significance of family and the need for ongoing laughter.
God has come for her soul but she leaves behind a pathway for us to follow.
May we never forget Belinda's foot print in Life.
This was sent to me from my sister in law, Tammy Rogers as words to comfort me when we heard Belinda had passed.
She is gone from our eyes but she will Never Ever be gone from our hearts.
May she Forever Rest in Peace.

Exteriorly all this may be "forever gone on" phyical, however; interiorly it shall remain forever with me personally. Whenever I see any of my family, I will see her in you. My deepest sympathy for the loss of a great person. She was a joy to know. I have very fond memories of living in Beardsley Terrace above her family on the 7th floor of building 14 while they lived downstairs. Later in life when she married Butch, I baby-sit for Joey. Then God brought us together again when I came for an interview at Sikorsky years later, and much to my surprise she was my interviewer. She hired me on the spot, and I'm still here 39 years later. I will always be grateful, and she and her family will always hold a special place in my heart. God bless you all, in this time of loss. My prayers are with you.

I was deeply sadden to hear about Belinda's transition. I will never forgot that she was the beginning of the many blessings God bestowed upon my family and I when she hired me to work at Sikorsky Aircraft. She was used by God to help many people and not once did she ever Falter from her covenant with him. Thank you Belinda and may God forever shower upon your family an abundance of blessings because you were his good and fateful daughter. My heartfelt condolences to the Simpson and Wright family. May the Holy Spirit comfort the families and friends who mourn your loss. Rest in peace my sister. Until we meet again.

To the family of Belinda,
So very sorry for your loss.
Belinda and I went through 4 yrs at central high school till we graduated class of 1967. She truly was an awesome friend. Full of laughs and that beautiful smile of her would always bring sunshine and smiles to all that knew her.
Her and I were never ever without our packs of chewing gum. Always sharing and when we get into our history class,,she and I would say hey Dee, you got your gum and I would say you know I do Belinda and laugh.
Belinda I know you will be missed by all the people whom you met along the way.
I will never forget you and all the fun, laughs and our awesome talks.
God has another beautiful angel and I know you will still be there for your family and friends, watching over them all.
Love you my friend,
Dolores Fernandes

I'll never forget the day of my Sikorsky interview when Belinda said to me, "When can you start" I said, "Can I give my employer (Bert's Beverage) 2 weeks notice"? She said, "We would like 2 weeks notice here so, go right ahead and see you in 2 weeks. That was 1977 I was 19,38 years later I still have not given my 2 weeks notice here. Thank you, Mrs. Belinda Wright. God Bless You and your family in this sad but triumphant day.
