Beth Gladstein Obituary

Beth Gladstein
After a long and strong roller coaster of a battle, Beth Gladstein succumbed to cancer on December 30, 2017, surrounded by loving family, at the age of 59.
Beth grew up in Fairfield, Connecticut and graduated from Antioch College in Yellow Springs, Ohio. She eventually moved to California, living in northern San Diego County for the last eighteen years.
She leaves behind two sons, Noam Zekzer and Tomer Zekzer, both of Vista, California, her parents, Ruth and Ansel Gladstein of Henderson, Nevada, her sister, Linda Rosenzweig and her husband, Jake, of Cherry Hill, New Jersey, her brother Sam Gladstein, and his wife Galit, of Las Vegas, Nevada. She will also be dearly missed by loving extended family members and many, many dear friends.
Small but mighty, Beth lived her life to the fullest. She was devoted to her sons and to her family. A warm and loving friend to many, she loved listening to live music, gardening, and traveling. Beth always had a way of making others smile. Her laugh alone could light up a room, and her love for life always kept any gathering fun. Her passion was the Grateful Dead. Not only did they provide a soundtrack, but a way of life. She travelled near and far for them, and in her last years made sure not to miss any of their milestone concerts.
In appreciation of the wonderful care she received, donations in her memory may be made to:
Nathan Adelson Hospice Foundation
4141 Swenson Street
Las Vegas, NV 89119

I met Beth in 1973 when I moved to Fairfield, CT. I was 10 years old. I just learned of her passing (and her father Ansel) tonight. I feel horrible because I live in CA and could’ve connected with Beth had I known she was so close to me geographically. I remember her wit. She was brilliant and lively. I remember watching her play tennis at her home in CT and we went out for Chinese food. I’m devastated. A beautiful family.

To Beth's family,
My deepest sympathy for your loss. Beth and I graduated from Andrew Warde High School together in 1976. She was a great person with a contagious laugh.
