Binnie Meltzer

MELTZER Binnie Meltzer, age 63, of Roslyn, N.Y., died Thursday, June 15, 2006 at Bridgeport Hospital. Mrs. Meltzer was born in Queens, N.Y., a daughter of the late Irving and Fae Sternberg and was an English Teacher and Librarian for the New York Public Schools for 35 years. Mrs. Meltzer is survived by her beloved husband, Richard Meltzer; her daughter, Randi Weinstein and her husband, Brad, of Fairfield; her son Glenn Meltzer and his wife, Lenore, of Fairfield; and by her adored grandchildren, Zachery, Madelyn and Samuel Weinstein. Mrs. Meltzer is also survived by her brother-in-law, Samford Meltzer and his wife, Lucille, of Boca Raton, Fla.; her sister-in-law, Myra Fishman and her husband, Bob, of Redhook, N.Y.; and several nieces and nephews. Services will take place of Friday (TODAY) at 11:30 a.m. from The Abraham L. Green and Son Funeral Home 88 Beach Road, Fairfield with interment following at Rodeph Sholom Memorial Park on Kings Highway in Fairfield. Shiva will be observed at the Weinstein residence in Fairfield. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.
