Bozena Abissi Obituary

ABISSI Bozena Abissi, age 39, of Shelton entered into rest on Monday, January 07, 2008 at Yale-New Haven Hospital. She was the beloved wife of 12 years to Charles Abissi. Bozena was born in Dabrowie Bialostockiej, Poland, on February 11, 1968, daughter of Amelia Staworko Kirejczyk and the late Czeslaw "Chester" Kirejczyk. She came from Poland in 1980 and lived in Bridgeport. In 1995, Bozena married Charles and moved to Shelton where she made her residence. She was a graduate of Notre Dame High School and received her masters from Fairfield University. Bozena was a Senior System Engineer for 16 years at General Electric and was acknowledge for exceptional performance on many occasions. She was a lector at the St. Michael's Church, Derby. Bozena loved arts and crafts and was involved with her children at St. Lawrence School as a librarian, mystery reader and many other school activities. She was loved by all she touched and lived by strong moral's and value to always do right. She also had a gentle and loving way about her. She was a great wife, mother, and will be greatly missed by her 11 year old daughter, Izabela Bernadetta Abissi, seven year old daughter, Kristina Ivana Abissi and one year old daughter, Katherine Alexandria Abissi. She is also survived by a brother, Henry Kirejczyk and his wife, Helen of Shelton; and and several aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews. Friends may call on Thursday from 4 to 8 p.m. in the Riverview Funeral Home, 390 River Road, Shelton. Her funeral will leave the funeral home on Friday at 10:15 a.m. for a Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m. in St. Michael's Church, Derby. Her burial will follow at St. John's Cemetery. The family requests that memorial contributions may be made to the Abissi Children's Educational Fund through the funeral director. Friends may leave condolences at www.riverviewfh.com.
