Bryant Sweet Obituary
Bryant "Brin" Sweet, 54, peacefully passed away February 11, 2016 at his home in Albrightsville, PA. He was born November 3, 1961 in Bridgeport and a longtime resident of Fairfield. A graduate of Sacred Heart University he spent his professional career in the publishing and computer software fields. Bryant was happiest fishing a secluded narrow stream, enjoying a comfy well stoked winter fire with his cats Penny and Noel curled at his feet or simply tinkering on his latest project. Devoted son of the late Waldo Nathan Sweet, Jr. and Alice Langmuir Sweet of Fairfield, he is survived by Philip and Djanira Sweet of Norwalk, David and Jamie Sweet of Bridgeport, Helen Cooke of Springfield, MA and Jane Sweet of Martha's Vineyard, MA. He was predeceased by his eldest brother Waldo Nathan Sweet, III. Other surviving relatives include aunt, Jane S. Stagg, Mary Wright, Honora Koster, nephew Alexander, niece Victoria and many cousins. Funeral services will be held Saturday March 5 at 9:00a.m., meeting directly in Our Lady of the Assumption Church, 545 Stratfield Road, Fairfield, with a Mass of Christian Burial. Dear Jane, Helen, David and Phil: I left a message on Bryant's voicemail a few weeks back. Now I know why I didn't hear back. Bryant, you are now in the loving arms of Alice, Waldo, your brother Waldo and all the departed friends of your parents who came to know you over the years as they all replayed their golf games and you were kind enough to listen. I was sad and sorry to just hear of Bryant's passing way too young. My heartfelt condolences to his family and friends. He lived at Fairfield Beach back in 1999-2000 and always displayed a big heart, zest for life and helping hand to neighbors. He will be missed. Our prayers for Bryant and his loved ones.
