Dear Joe,
we are very sorry, as we read the message of your fathers gone.
We think at you all, Doris and Stefan

"My father“s globe knocks on its nave and sings / This that we tread was, too, your fathers land / But this we tread bears the angelic gangs / Sweet are their fathered faces in their wings / There are but dreaming men / Breathe, and they fade." (Dylan Thomas)

To all the Cartiglia family,
I offer you my sincere sympathy on the death of your beloved father, Mel. It seems that I've
known Mel and your mother for such a long time. I believe they are in a picture of thost attending my first Mass at Holy Rosary Church in 1960. I remember them from my five years at St. Raphael Church, when he worked at Fairway Beef Co. Through the years we met at so many different events, usaually church related. He was always a gentleman, quiet, and friendly, and deeply religious. I'm retired now, at the Queen of Clergy Home in Stamford. I will remember Mel at Mass tomorrow. May God bless you all,
Father Peter De Marco

Dear Cartiglia Family. My sincere and heartfelt condolances on your loss. I remember Mel from way back when I was a child. I remember going to Fairway Beef with my parents all the time. I also lived directly across the street from your grandmother Rosa on Norman Street. My parents are Paul (still living) and Enza Grillo(Deceased Sept 1993) I remember being at her house all the time with my mom and grandmother. I also remember when we moved next door to your house on Wayne Street. I remember running into Mel at the Adult Education Classes when he was taking up Italian. Please accept my condolances on behalf of myself and my father (Paul Grillo) who you all may remember. The world has lost a most loving and caring man and heaven has gained another Angel
