Carol Ann Velky Bourque, age 76, of Shelton, passed away on Tuesday, September 19, 2023. She was the beloved wife of Lawrence B Bourque. Born in Bridgeport, Carol was the daughter of Paul F. Velky and Catherine Harris Velky. She was a proud member of the Schaghticoke Tribal Nation and also worked as a waitress at Franco Gianni's restaurant in Trumbull for many years. Carol's greatest achievement was her family. Her favorite thing to do was spend time with her husband, kids, grandkids and great-grandchildren when she wasn't spoiling them. In addition to her husband, Lawrence, she is survived by her daughter, Jody Bourque (Mike), son, Corey Bourque (Michele), four grandchildren, Richard (Maddie), Kevin (Tasha), Ryan, and Emily, two great-grandchildren, Aidan and Axel, and her third on the way, her sisters and brothers, Elizabeth Kaladish, Paul Velky (Alice), Richard Velky (Kathy), Linda Kilson (Chuck), and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her brother, Joseph Velky Sr and sister, Pauline Crone-Morange. Funeral services will be held Thursday at 11 a.m., meeting directly at Saint Lawrence Church, Shelton, with a Mass of Christian Burial. Interment will be at a later date at Schaghticoke Cemetery in Kent, Connecticut. Friends may call Wednesday, 4–7 p.m. in the Redgate Hennessy Funeral Home, Main Street and Gorham Place, Trumbull.
