Carol Russell Obituary
Carol Welch Russell of Southport passed away on October 19, 2025, at the age of 88.
Carol was the daughter of Gertrude Carroll and Thomas Welch and was born and raised in Westville, New Haven. She graduated from Saint Mary's High School and Albertus Magnus College. She taught in the Guilford school system before raising her family with her husband, Robert Russell, in Southport.
Carol is survived by Robert, her children, Catherine Infantino (Robert) of Newton, MA, Suzanne Russell of Benicia, CA, Kristen Mandal of Benicia, CA, and Michael Russell of Southport. She also leaves her grandchildren, Niall Mandal, Krishna Mandal, Sophie Mandal, Charlie Infantino and William Infantino. She was predeceased by her parents, and brother, Thomas Welch.
Funeral Mass will be at St. Luke's Church, 49 Turkey Hill Road North, Westport, CT, at 11 am on January 2, 2026. For a complete obituary or to sign her online guest register, please visit Leskofuneralhome.com .
