Catherine Glinsky Obituary
Catherine Ann Glinsky passed away after a brief yet brave battle with cancer at CT Hospice in Branford on January 9, 2023 surrounded by her loving family by her side. Cathy was born on February 1, 1964 in Bridgeport, CT, daughter of the late Robert and Barbara (Perkins) Glinsky.
Cathy was employed at Yale New Haven Hospital for Information Technology Services as an Analyst. Previous other technology employers included Mohegan Sun Casino and B-There.com.
Cathy enjoyed traveling, baking, fishing with her nephews, time spent with her family and friends, had a great love of music and an amazing artistic talent unknown to many .
Cathy is survived by her siblings, Karen Fernandez of Milford, Robert Glinsky Jr. of Middletown, James Glinsky (Colleen) of Dripping Springs, TX, five nephews, Sam, Ben and Jack Glinsky and Daniel and Dylan Fernandez, and her most precious companions, Chang, Girlie and Spencer.
Relatives and friends may call on Saturday, January 14, 2023 3:00 p.m. - 6:00 p.m. at Pistey Funeral Home, 2155 Main Street, Stratford. Dear Cathy, we worked together. And when we still were in the office, I remember talking to you in the breakroom about all the silly things our cats did. We would laugh and appreciate those antics. I will always remember those conversations and how lightened the burden of the day. Rest in peace my friend.

I'm so sorry to hear of Cathy's illness and passing. I worked with Cathy at Yale New Haven and also am a crazy cat lady like she was. We talked of cats often and I know hers were her absolute babies and I'm sure are being well taken care of. If I can do anything to help with that please let me know Jeannie Garrison 203-901-8773

Cathy was a dear friend and a fellow crazy cat lady. I loved her passion for her animals, her family and fishing. She always talked about her nephews and how much she loved spending time with them and her 'twin' brother, as she always called him. When you were friends with Cathy, you knew you were loved. She wore her feelings on her sleeve. Her love was as deep as the grief for the loss of her parents. My only comfort is that she is with them now, as well as her furbabies that passed before her. I know she missed her dog immensely as well as her cats.
