Pat and Rufus,
I have developed many memories of your mom throughout the years and the memories have grown even more intense as I moved from childhood to adulthood. I am proud to say that your mom was a part of that village that raised me. I along with my family (Garrett & Garrett Jr.) will miss her sweet and kind words of encouragement. Always remember that God can comfort you during the times you miss her the most. Rest in peace Aunt Opelia. We love you!!!, The Griffin Family.

Dear Pat, Rufus, Chelsea and amily,
Please, accept my most sincere condolences. Charlotte was such a wonderful person. I remember fondly, how she greeted me every time I saw her with her smile and kind remarks. Charlotte was especially helpful with my garden. One example of her friendship was when I hadn't a clue what to do with the Okra that I planted. But she saved the day with a few tips as well as recipes. That was Charlotte, service to others, above and beyond the call.

Having grown up on Fairview Ave. in Bridgeport, the Foote family were my neighbors. Rufus, Rowland and I went to school together and as kids we played in the neighborhood. I still have fond memories of Mrs. Foote driving Rufus and me to the Y.M.C.A. after school. Those were good times. Your mom was a sweet person. Pat and Rufus, my thoughts and prayers are with you and your family at this most difficult time.

My Dear Aunt Ophelia entered the pearly gates of heaven where she was greeted by her parents, Fred and Ethel Watkins with open arms. Behind them were all of her loving brothers and sisters, Eva Mae, Ruth, Ernestine, Nora, Marie, Buck, Shugg, Jake, Fred Jr, W.C. Behind them were here 3 sons. The spirits she loved the most are now rejoined in heaven for a glorious reunion. She has transitioned to a unfamiliar place but in good company. God prepared a place for her where there is no sadness and pain. We salute you for a life and job well done and you have left us with many fond memories and an example to live by. You are now amongst the ranks of the most rightgeous. You will never die but continue to live on in our hearts and minds forever. Enjoy your eternal rest my Dear Aunt. We will see you again
