Concetta Fabrizio Obituary
Concetta Assunta Valente Fabrizio, age 94, of Easton, beloved wife of the late Rolando Fabrizio, passed away peacefully on Thursday, January 26, 2023 in the comfort of her home with her loving family by her side. Born on February 17, 1928 in Villa Latina, Frosinone, Italy, she was the daughter of the late Antonio and Giovanna DeAngelis Valente.
"Susie," as her friends knew her, immigrated to the United States in 1956 with her family and settled in Bridgeport before making her home in Easton. Above all, Susie cherished her family and dedicated her entire life to caring for them. She personified kindness, compassion, and unconditional love. She joyfully passed on her Italian heritage by maintaining old country traditions, cuisine, and stories of her days growing up in Italy. She was so proud to be a part of five living generations of her family. Susie will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her. Her family wishes to thank Myara and Dora for their loving care in Susie's final years. Survivors include her three loving children, Vivian Prete of Newtown, Dan Fabrizio of Nashville, TN and Ross Fabrizio of Las Vegas, NV, 10 cherished grandchildren: LeeAnn Browett, Tony Fabrizio, Gina Bisogno, Michael Fabrizio, Chelsea Torres, Celeste Manthey, Andrew Fabrizio, Steven Fabrizio, Gabriella Fabrizio, Ava Fabrizio; 16 adored great-grandchildren: Anthony, Ben, Nicholas, Ethan, Kaitlyn, Alexander, Sophia, Gabriel, Chazz, Rossano, Mikenna, Madden, Clark, Audrey, Vincent, Juliana; a great-great-grandson Anthony; as well as several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by two grandchildren, Gennaro Prete and Lisa Fabrizio and brothers, Guiseppe, Mario and Luigi Valente.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday, February 2, 2023 at 10:00 a.m. in Notre Dame of Easton Church, 640 Morehouse Rd., Easton. Entombment will follow in Mountain Grove Cemetery, Bridgeport. Relatives and friends may greet the family on Wednesday from 4-7 p.m. at the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Rd., Trumbull.
