Craig Hudak Obituary

Hudak, Craig A..
Craig Allen Hudak. Craig and Mariann Hudak enjoyed walking the beach admiring the sun glistening on the waves. They shared the joys and sorrows of life experience for over forty years within a special bond. Craig Allen Hudak passed away, Thursday morning, February 26th, 2014. He was a gentle soul. A tool maker, working first for his father at Latham Tool in Fairfield and Later at Sikorsky Aircraft in West Haven. He enjoyed photography, astronomy and space just as much as the vast ocean and often contemplated our being in the world. Craig was content in moments of quiet and contemplation but loved a good laugh with friends and family too. His kind and lighthearted ways are a reminder to view life in a different perspective when we don't quite have the answers. He is survived by his wife, Mariann Hudak of 39 years, His Daughter Kelly Hudak and partner Bruce LaFollette of Miami, FL; His mother Joan Hudak and sister Virginia Hudak of Huntington, CT; His brother, Scott Hudak and Nieces Taylor and Alexandra Hudak of Stratford, CT, and Deborah and Norman of Plano, TX; Mariann's brother and sister-in-law, Robert and Claudia Murray of Stratford, CT; Predeceased by his daughter Lori Hudak and his father Albert Hudak, both who will always be in our hearts. Mariann would like to thank family, friends and neighbors who have always been at their side for many years, as well as, all of the doctors, care givers, aids, nurses and physical therapists that have helped along the path. A special thank you to Dr David Jutkowitz of Stratford who had always been there for Craig in the most challenging times. In lieu of flowers the family would like donations to be made to VITAS Hospice to carry on their work of helping others. The name VITAS comes from the Latin word for "life." The Hudak family was deeply touched by the many caring individuals at VITAS and their passion for life that they shared with Craig and his loved ones. Please contact VITAS for details. 99 Hawley Lane, Suite 1204 Stratford, CT 06614. 203.455.3300 vitas.com Craig and Mariann talked of the sun's glimmer on the ocean as a million sparkling diamonds touching the waves. May we each see Craig's warming and soft spirit in these waters. Funeral arrangements are private, and have been entrusted to the Adzima Funeral Home 50 Paradise Green Place Stratford.
