Daniel Kryzanski
January 21, 2026
KRYZANSKI, Daniel Henry, Esquire, 57, proud longtime resident of Stratford and Trumbull, CT. Adored husband of Beverly (Martin) for 32 years; father of Krystyna McCurdy and her husband, Rhodric of Pleasant Grove, UT, Henry Augustus Kryzanski and his fiancée, Amber of Stratford, CT, Alyssa Kryzanski Hall and her husband, Evan of Schenectady, NY, and Kaitlyn-Marie Kryzanski of Philadelphia, PA. Cherished "Papa" to granddaughter, Sophia McCurdy. Beloved brother of Michael Kryzanski and his wife, Halina, of Southington, CT, Dr. James Kryzanski and his wife, Katherine of Chestnut Hill, MA, and Thomas Kryzanski and his wife, Sharon of Fairfield, CT. Beloved nephew, cousin and friend to so many, especially the members of the extended May and Kryzanski families. Son of the late Henry and Loretta (May) Kryzanski, born on October 27, 1968, in Bridgeport Hospital, Dan died peacefully on Wednesday, January 21, 2026, surrounded by family, after a brief and valiant battle with glioblastoma. A 1990 graduate of Boston University and 1993 graduate from the New England School of Law, admitted to practice in front of the Supreme Court. Dan was a hard-working attorney, who built a great business as a solo practitioner, remarkable for his genuine care for his clients. Dan loved spending time with his family and friends, eating good food, especially cheese tasting, and lived for adventure whether it be skydiving, motorcycle riding, hiking mountains or even just a good long road trip. He loved to travel, especially to Rockport, MA, Florida, Washington, DC and St. John, USVI. Dan and Beverly's home was filled with love for their children and extended family members, most of whom received nicknames of complex origin from Dan, in addition to many pets, especially his dog, Minnie, and Cookie the cat. Dan always showed up: whether it be to help out with the heavy lifting of cleaning up or moving, celebrating someone's achievements, or sharing in someone's grief after a loss. Everyone who met Dan loved him because he was sociable, personable and genuinely cared about you, and Dan's easy sense of humor and inexhaustible ability to get a laugh by quoting one of his favorite movies or shows never wavered. Dan also had the increasingly rare human characteristic of expressing genuine daily gratitude and being happy when others did well. His homemade birthday cards, handwritten thank you notes, and authentic joy for his close family and friends are cherished by those who loved him. Dan was a ringleader in fun activities for his children, nieces and nephews, who loved to accompany Dan on many of his adventures. Dan always had a book in hand, generally a biography of a successful businessman, and he prided himself on his Kryzanski entrepreneurial spirit. Dan contributed to his community as chairman of the Trumbull Land Acquisition Committee, and was notable for his direct problem solving approach and lack of patience for lazy thinking. Dan loved athletic competition throughout his life: as a college rugby player, runner in many road races including the Boston Marathon, rower at the Head of the Charles, and he never took a day off at the gym, no matter where he was in the world. Dan would like to be remembered as a hard worker whose motto of "work hard, play hard" underscored his daily discipline of practicing gratitude and showing his appreciation for family and friends. He loved his wife and kids and extended family and told them often how much. We wish that we had more time with him, but know that he is at peace with Henry and Loretta and his beloved grandparents, Kryzanski and May. We can all be like Dan if we remember every day to tell people how grateful you are for them, and to show up for family and friends both in times of celebration and need. Dan's family welcomes friends and loved ones to celebrate Dan's life on Friday, January 30, 2026, at 10:00 a.m., by meeting directly at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 26 Bonnie View Dr., Trumbull, CT 06611. Interment will follow in Union Cemetery, Stratford, CT. Friends may visit with his family on Thursday from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. in the William R. McDonald Funeral Home, 2591 Main St., Stratford, CT 06615. In lieu of flowers, donations to
