David J. Lucia

LUCIA David J. Lucia, age 38, of Monroe, died suddenly on Wednesday, May 19, 2004. Born in Bridgeport, on September 10, 1965, he was the son of Barbara Korcsmaros Lucia, and the late Joseph Lucia. A resident of Fairfield for most of his life, he moved to Monroe two years ago. He was a graduate of Andrew Warde High School and Bentley College, where he received a degree in finance. He was a self-employed life insurance agent and financial planner. David, C.L.U., C.h.F.c., was consistently honored with a National Quality Award by the Greater Bridgeport Association of Life Underwriters, as well as the National Sales Achievement Award. He was a devoted husband and loving father to his two little girls. Dave was an ardent sports fan who enjoyed playing softball and golf. Dave"s many friends were a testament to his ability to always be there for others. He is survived by his loving wife, Andrea Belardi Lucia; and two daughters, Tori and Emily, all of Monroe; his mother, Barbara Lucia of Fairfield; two sisters and their husbands, Pamela and Michael Bruno, and Cynthia and Mario Socci, all of Stamford; as well as several nieces and nephews. There will be no calling hours. Friends are invited to join the family for a memorial Mass on Monday, May 24, 2004, at 10 a.m. at St. Andrew"s Church, 435 Anton Street, Bridgeport. The Commerce Hill Funeral Home, 4798 Main Street, Bridgeport (on the Trumbull line) is in charge of arrangements.
