Diana Pires Obituary
Diana Lee Alterio Pires of Raleigh, North Carolina, age 80, passed away peacefully at home with her family on Friday, October 4, 2024. She was born in Bridgeport, Connecticut to the late Carlo Ralph Alterio and Corinne Sturgeon Alterio.
She is survived by her devoted husband of 56 years, Albino Rua Pires; her daughter, whom she cherished more than anything, Jacqueline Pires of Raleigh, NC; her brother, Dominick Alterio and his wife, Diane of Shelton, CT; her brother, Ernest Alterio and his wife, Joanne of Shelton, CT; and her brother, Louis Alterio and his wife, Kathleen of Bridgeport, CT. She also leaves behind many beloved brothers and sisters-in-law, nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, Diana was preceded in death by her brother, Carl Alterio; sister, Doris Sanford and her husband, James; and her dearest cousin, Joan Krofssik Savo.
Burial will be private.
