Dino Breda Obituary

Dino Breda
Dino Breda (Dean), age 96, of Trumbull passed away Sunday, May 28, 2023 at his home with his loving family by his side. Born in Bronx, NY to the late Gisella and Louis Breda. He started school in Brewster, NY where he attended a one-room schoolhouse. In later years, his family moved to Rockland County, NY and Dino attended and graduated from Nyack High School. He was a star athlete on their football and wrestling teams. Dino joined the Navy at age 17 and served during World War II. After his service, he started a lifelong career as a self-employed mason contractor. He built many custom homes over the years. His favorite pastimes were fishing, golfing, dancing and rooting for the Yankees. He and his beloved wife traveled to all states in the Union and took many cruises to Europe and the Islands. He was grateful to experience a trip to China with his son, Stephen. Dino's greatest enjoyment was found in the time he spent surrounded by his family. He was a fun-loving guy with a keen sense of humor which usually made him the life of the party.
In addition to his beloved wife, Doris, of 71 years, survivors include his children, Loreen Breda Beck, Dr. Stephen Breda (Kim), and G. Breda, his cherished grandchildren, Dr. Kristin Beck (Nathan), Jessica Beck and Madeline Breda and his great-granddaughter, Jocelyn Roth. He was predeceased by his grandson, Noah Breda, his brother, Gigs Breda, and his sister, Vilma Riccardi, cousins, Serg and Aldo Breda and nephew Gary Breda.
A Memorial Service and celebration of Dino's life will be held on Saturday, June 3, 2023 at 1:00 p.m. in the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Rd., Trumbull, followed by Military Honors, which will conclude the service. Dino & his wife Doris were very dear friends of ours. We learned how to play bridge with them. We saw them a lot, played bridge & traveled together & had a lot of fun. Did many cruises & trips with theme. I miss them & haven´t seen Doris since Dino´s passing. Talk to each other on the phone. I miss both of them. Think I will talk to her later today or tomorrow.
