LaRue, Doris
Doris LaRue , age 79, of Derby, entered into her eternal rest on Sunday Dec. 8, 2013 in the Shady Knoll Health Care Center surrounded by her loving family. She is the devoted wife of Henry C. LaRue, Jr. Mrs. LaRue was born in Fall River, MA Feb. 9, 1934 daughter of the late James and Emily (Briggs) Heap, and has been a Derby resident for over 51 years. She was employed as a food service professional in the Derby School System , and was a communicant of the Community of Christ Church She is the beloved mother of James LaRue, and his wife Eleni, Linda LaRue, Gail Onofrio, and her husband Clem, David LaRue, and his wife Jennifer, and Lori Oksenberg, and her husband Bernie. She is the loving grandmother of Joshua, Monica, and Jordan LaRue, Nicole Onofrio, and Kendall, and Connor Oksenberg, and also leaves several nieces and nephews. Doris always put the needs of her family first and will always be remembered as a loving and caring mother and grandmother. She is predeceased by several brothers. Friends may greet her family on Sunday from 1 to 2 PM in the Edward F. Adzima Funeral Home 253 Elizabeth Street Derby. At 2 PM a memorial service will be held at the funeral home.
