Dorothy Cox Obituary

COX Dorothy J. Hyatt Cox age 81 of Fairfield beloved wife of the late Joseph E. Cox entered into rest Thursday May 24, 2012 at home surrounded by her loving daughters. Born in Norwalk Dorothy resided in Fairfield for more than 55 years. Dorothy was a Registered Nurse graduating from Norwalk Hospital in 1951. She loved to travel the world including navigating the family for a cross country camping trip and trips to Europe & Asia. She was a Girl Scout leader and PTA member while raising her daughters. An avid reader and supporter of the Fairfield Woods Library, she was a bird watcher and kept in shape walking her neighborhood. Dorothy loved her family and enjoyed spending time with them, supporting her children and grandchildren in all their activities, She is survived by 4 daughters; Amy B. Cox of Pittsburgh PA, Loretta and her husband Dr. William Keegan of Gainesville FL.,Jennifer and husband Eric Peterson of Fairfield, and Emily and husband Sal Cicale of Fairfield.. 7 grandchildren;Daniel, Lindsay and Caroline Keegan, Taylor and Conor Peterson, and Nicholas and Jake Cicale. 2 sisters; Judith Neyerlin and Mary Nevins and nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by 2 brothers; Harold and Charles Hyatt. Friends are invited to attend the funeral service on Saturday May 26, 2012 at 10am in The LARSON FUNERAL HOME 2496 North Ave Bridgeport. Burial will be in Mt. Grove of Easton Cemetery. Friends may call Friday(TODAY) from 3:30 to 7pm. Memorial donations may be made to Fairfield Police dept Sgt. Lussier in lieu of Ruger 100 Reef Rd Fairfield 06824. Special thanks to the Bennett four staff of the Jewish Home for the Elderly and Dr.Faye Ahmadian for her support and kindness
