Duncan Brodie Obituary
Duncan Anthony Brodie, age 62, of Stratford, CT, passed away suddenly on April 8, 2023 in his home. He was born in LaJolla, CA. At the time of his death, Duncan was employed as the Store Manager of Autozone in Stratford. Duncan was predeceased by his father Henry John Brodie. Duncan is survived by his beloved mother, Iris (Brodie) Hurley of Milford, CT; sister, Alison Brodie and her husband, Keith Nadeau, of Strasburg, VA; niece, Pearl Allen, of Walnut Creek, CA, and many dear cousins and other family members. Duncan will also be greatly missed by his many close friends and colleagues.
A complete obituary and memorial service details will be announced at a later date. Burial will be private. Arrangements in care of the Cyril F. Mullins Funeral Home, 399 White Plains Rd., Trumbull, CT.

Like many others Zeppelin was the common theme with myself and Duncan of top of being my Jeep guy. Late night videos he always sent to me at all hours I would dude do you even sleep lol. Great guy sadly I just found this out today amazing how the time goes by. Duncan rest easy brother and say hi to Bonham for me

We may not have been related by blood, but my Uncle Duncan was family in every sense of the word. He is there in all my earliest memories, there at almost every birthday, every family gathering.
He was warm and fun, with an easy raspy laugh that made everyone always want to join in.
The family won't be the same without him. We'll miss you, Uncle Duncan.

I had the great pleasure to work with Duncan for many years. We enjoyed his company always. He was at my daughters wedding and was there to help welcome our first granddaughter. He was a true friend. I was so happy when he called me and told me about his promotion. You were so excited and enjoyed your new position. I am completely shocked and saddened by your passing. I will miss our talks. Rest peacefully my dear friend.

So saddened to hear about Duncan. He and I worked together for several years back in Norwalk and then later in Trumbull. I always appreciated his intellect, hilarious sense of humor, love for music, and his compassion for animals. We shared a common love dogs and Duncan was of great help to me with sound advice when mine were puppies. Condolences to your family.

I started in the auto industry at 23 years old, Now I'm 38. I owe my success to many people, but Duncan is to whom I owe the most too. He wasn't just a mentor, he was a good friend. We bonded over the history rock and roll. Floyd, Gabriel, Genesis, Zeppelin debates left us at the dealership many hours past closing. He was a great man. He will be missed .

Duncan has been a part of our family for the past 40+ years, we were all shocked and saddened with the news of his passing. He was like a brother to me, i remember as a little kid he would take me and my brother to Cumberland Farms to buy snacks. He was always at our house working on his cars, my neighbors mini bike. He was a big part of our family, he loved being with us on family gatherings. He was truly a decent, loving and kind person with a heart of gold. You be will be greatly missed my friend.

My deepest condolences to Duncan´s family. I am in shock, not wanting to believe what I just heard. I´m deeply saddened. Going back 20 years , playing in the band together, on the " Post Road Tour " were such great times. Smoking cigars over drinks , seeing shows and talking about Led Zepplin for what seemed like hours. Duncan never seemed to get enough Led Zeppelin videos to share with me , always sometime around midnight. We had fun and we enjoyed some simple things. We just recently went to see the Jason Bonham Led Zepplin Experience at The Oakdale. We even got the chance to play together at the open mic recently. We had talked about playing more but it never came to be. It seems we never seem to realize , how short time can be. You told me about your promotion and I was very happy for you. You were 1 week older and , even when we hadn´t spoken over some time , it seemed we always re connected before our birthdays. I can´t believe you´re gone I´ll miss you brother. And I´ll never forget you either. Thank you for your friendship. Hope to see you again for a cigar after the encore

Duncan , you were a great friend and a brother to me . We laughed more in the last 12 years than I have probably in my lifetime! We use to stay at work until 12 when it closed at 8 . We would smoke cigars and watch John beating the drums for Zep and that video of his son Jason for a tribute to his dad, we couldn´t stop watching it lol .
I can´t believe that you left us so soon , you were a dear friend to us all !! I love you Dunk !!
