Edna Nolan Obituary
Edna M. Nolan, age 87, of Shelton entered into rest on Friday, March 20, 2015 at St. Vincents Medical Center with her loving family by her side. She was the devoted wife of the late George H. Nolan. Mrs. Nolan was born in Bridgeport on June 21, 1927 daughter of the late Burt and Winifred (Edmondson) Moore. She worked as a parts assembler at Practical Automation for 25 years until her retirement in 1992. Mrs. Nolan enjoyed swimming and playing cards at the Huntington Community Center with the ladies. She is the loving mother of William B. Nolan, Lezlie (Richard) Quirk and Randi (Richard) Post and grandmother of Jennifer Gracy Livingston. Mrs. Nolan is also survived by several nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by a son Michael Nolan, a brother Everett Moore and a granddaughter Colleen Jean Nolan. Friends may call on Wednesday from 4-6 p.m. at the Edward F. Adzima Funeral Home, 253 Elizabeth St., Derby. Her memorial service will follow at 6:00 p.m. at the funeral home with the Rev. Iwy Patel-Yatri officiating. I don't know what to say. Edna, you will always hold a special place in my heart. I have such wonderful memories of you and your entire family. You were my mom's best friend her entire life and the only peace I have from you leaving is that you are back with my parents, and George, Michael and Colleen. Please give them all a hug from me.
