Edna Ulatowski Obituary
Edna "Druhna" Mae Ulatowski, former resident of Middletown and Bridgeport and wife of the late Stanley Ulatowski, died peacefully at her home in McBee, South Carolina on August 6, 2013 at the age of 88. She was born in Middletown, CT on May 28, 1925 to the late Alexander and Lucyna (Kosinski) Staniszewski. She is survived by her children, Robert Sambor and Linda Sterling of McBee, South Carolina. At the age of 80, she retired from the City of Bridgeport Purchasing department where she was a buyer. Druhna was fiercely proud of her Polish heritage and kept it alive throughout her entire life. She was a member of Nests 878, 519, 107 and 36 in the Polish Falcons of America, holding many positions from Nest and District Instructress, Nest President, the first Lady President of District V in Connecticut and a Gold Legion of Honor member. From 1940 - 1944, she was a Certified Red Cross Nurse's Aide, assisting at the Hartford State Armory during the Barnum and Bailey Circus Fire on July 16, 1944 and was a member of the Connecticut Civil Defense League. Contributions in her memory may be made to the Dr. T.A. Starzynski Scholarship Fund, c/o Polish Falcons of America 381 Mansfield Avenue Pittsburgh, PA 15220

Condolences, Linda and Bobbie, on the passing of your mother---my cousin---Edna. I have many good memories of times spent with her, both in Connecticut and in California. It is with sadness that I learn of Edna's passing. I had the pleasure of working with Helen, Edna, and Elaine Potz. They were three of the most dedicated employees that the City of Bridgeport ever had. My condolonces to her son and daughter. May she Rest in Peace!

My sincere condolences on the passing of your mother. Edna and my mother, Helen, worked together for many years in the purchasing dept. My mother always had nice things to say about Edna and enjoyed their friendship in and out of work.May our Lord welcome her into his kingdom.
