Edward Balek

BALEK Edward Balek, age 68, beloved husband of Rose (Sherry) Balek, for 47 years, passed away at his home in Port St. Lucie, Fla., on August 6, 2003. He was born in Bridgeport, the son of the late Edward Balek and Evelyn Balek Saykowsky. He retired from Milford to Port St. Lucie, with his wife in 1992. Eddie was also a veteran of the United States Navy. He enjoyed spending his days at Jensen Beach, Fla., doing his daily crossword puzzle and cryptogram, and was a familiar face to many of the "snow birds." He is survived by his wife, Rose; his daughter and her husband, Beverly (Balek) and Kenneth Cibulsky of Jensen Beach; and his brother, John "Jack" Balek, also of Port St. Lucie; and several nieces and nephews.
