His hobbies included hunting and fishing. Ed leaves to cherish his memory, daughters, Diane Caron of Ansonia, Debra Cusano (Dominic) of Ansonia, Denise Steeves (David) of Ansonia and Donna Lucarelli (James Bohdan) of New Hampshire, brothers, Albert Lucarelli (Helen) of Derby, Alceo "Archie" Lucarelli (Valerie) of Woodbury, and Raymond Lucarelli (Margaret) of Derby, grandchildren, Sara Seferi (Trevor), Ronald E. Although I only had the privilege of knowing you for a short time, listening to all the countless stories and memories of you show how deeply you are loved and admired by so many people. Your incredible veggie garden reflected the love and kindness you shared with those around you. You will forever be missed, but your memory will continue to grow in all of those that you left behind.

My thoughts are with everyone whose life you touched, and I hope you’re resting easy now.

Condolences to the Lucarelli Family. My dad worked with Ed in the machine shop at Sikorsky for many years. Ed was a good friend to him and I remember their times together fondly. Rest in Peace, Mr. Lucarelli.

I would like to offer my deepest condolences to the family and share a memory or two . As a very young boy living next door to the lucarelli's I remember when Ed would be outside training his hunting dogs how to retrieve a pheasant or it seemed like he would always be working on his boat . Again sorry for your loss .

Dad, words can not express how I feel at losing you. You mean so much to me. You helped me so much in life and i hope i was always there helping you when you needed me. I know that you are in heaven now with mom. Whenever I see a butterfly or a cardinal in my yard I know that it will be you and mom coming to visit to tell me you are both alright and at peace. I will always remember our time together, whether it be at your house, at the camper, on your boat, fishing at the Yantic river, or In work. Tell mom " I Love Her More" and i love you too. Will be your little girl forever. All my love to you and mom.

I worked with Eddie back in the day. We used to share rides. He taught me how to run the bridge mills in his department. What a wonderful person. I retired from Sikorsky in 2013 after 40 years. It was the best of times.

Dad, as I sit in my home my mind is always thinking about everything you have taught me, and my heart always beats with the love you have shown me. My eyes are always looking up to heaven to see if you are watching me and are proud of what and how I have turned out. You will always be in life. You are like the wind I can feel you but I cannot see you. Until I see again I just want you to know I love You.

Gramps, I miss you so much! Selfishly I wish you were still here but I take comfort in knowing you’re at peace in heaven with Gram. I will always cherish the countless memories whether it was taking a ride to one of your favorite stores, going to the pond or fishing on the boat. All the crossword puzzles, word jumbles and cryptograms we did or times spent at the campground playing cards or bingo. Making stuffing for Thanksgiving and waking up Christmas morning to be picked up by you and do the “rounds” visiting your brothers and sister. You had a way of making everyone feel special. I always felt happy, safe and loved unconditionally when I was with you. What you gave me is priceless and I am forever grateful. Although I can’t see you I know that you’ll always be with me. Until I see you again gramps I will miss and think of you everyday. Love you always.

Dad, I miss you terribly. I will always remember every morning doing the puzzles together and you teasing me. It’s so hard to realize you aren’t here I’m so glad that we were able to spend all this time together. Whether it was laughing or arguing. I will treasure all our time together tell mom and Paul I love and miss them. Diane

Uncle Eddie you will be truly missed. From the pop overs to talk gardening and of course to drop off the bags and bags of veggies. Heaven needed you now to help grow some veggies up there. We will miss you.

Gramps, even though you may be gone your memory will live with us forever. The knowledge you have shared and lessons you have taught us will live on for generations to come. We are all so grateful to have had you in our lives and so lucky to have you and Gram watching over us. We love you more than you could have ever known. Until we see you again make sure you save some fish and birds for us up there!
