Eleanor Schede Obituary
Eleanor A. Schede, age 81, of Fairfield passed away peacefully Friday, Sept. 29, 2017 at St. Vincent's Medical Center. Born in Bridgeport, the daughter of the late George and Mary Moran, she had been a Fairfield resident for the last 57 years. She was a graduate of Sts. Cyril and Methodius Parochial School and High School. Eleanor was a wonderful cook and delighted in time spent with her family, especially her cherished grandchildren. She was predeceased by her son Mark Schede and a brother, Robert Moran. Survivors include two children, Paula A. Lazarus of Fairfield and Richard C. Schede, Jr. of Milford; five grandchildren, Richard C. Schede, III, Alexis Lazarus, Dana Schede, Noelle and Matthew Lazarus; two sisters, Arlene Skovira of Fairfield and Frances Musante and her husband Charles of The Villages, FL. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Tuesday, Oct. 3, 2017 at 11 a.m. at St. Emery Church, 838 Kings Hwy. East, Fairfield. Interment will follow in Lawncroft Cemetery. Friends may greet the family Tuesday from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. in the Spear-Miller Funeral Home, 39 South Benson Rd., Fairfield. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, 38 Richards Ave., Norwalk, CT 06854. I am going to miss Eleanor. I worked with her for several years at the University of Bridgeport. She was kind and always very helpful.
I also remember her taking care of the plants in my office as I was not good at taking care of them.
