Elizabeth Shola Obituary
Elizabeth was born in Woonsocket, RI, graduated from Woonsocket High School and earned a bookkeeping certificate from Hill Business School in Providence, RI. She was the bookkeeper and Officer for over thirty years for her husband's business, Bridgeport Refrigeration, Bridgeport, CT.
She was a decades-long member of Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church, Philoptochos, Daughters of Penelope and Seniors, and St. Dimitri Ladies Auxiliary and Seniors.
Elizabeth was the embodiment of family, integrity and optimism. She lived a full and happy life keeping a loving home, volunteering, reading, playing cards with her family as well as extensive travel with her husband and children.Elizabeth's soul mate and husband of 58 years, Michael Shola, died in 2002, and their beloved daughter, Susan Shola died in 2014.
Elizabeth is survived by her two devoted daughters; Brenda Shola Zebelman (Wesley) of Wallingford, and Micheline Shola of Stamford; her beloved grandson Michael Baldino of Orange; her two great-grandsons, Ryan Baldino and Michael Baldino Jr., her sister Andronica Kressu of Stratford, her brother Andrew Andry of East Hampton, NY, along with several nieces and nephews.
The family wishes to thank Drs. Charles Kochan, Michael Connelly, R. Scott Prewitt, and the nurses and staff of Floor 9NE at Bridgeport Hospital. And a special thank you to Krystyna, companion and friend.
Funeral services will be on at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday March 30, 2017. Friends and family are asked to meet directly at Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church, 4070 Park Avenue, Fairfield, CT 06604. Burial will be private. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Elizabeth's memory to Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church. For online condolences please visit www.dennisanddarcy.com
