Elsa Warner Obituary

WARNER Elsa (Lauridsen) Warner, 88, of Summit Road, died Monday, February 14, 2011 at Willow Point Nursing Home in Vestal, NY. She was born in Milford, on March 29, 1922, the daughter of Laurids T. and Amy L. (Razee) Lauridsen. She graduated from Milford High School. Mrs. Warner had been a bookkeeper for Stanley Works in Bridgeport and for the Milford Citizen for 26 years. She lived in Milford for 81 years before moving to New London in 2003 and then to Apalachin in 2006 to be near her daughter. She attended The First Baptist Church of New London, N.H. Mrs. Warner was a member of Lucia Chapter #25 The Order of The Eastern Star in Milford, and was also a member of Forest Heights Garden Club. She enjoyed knitting, cooking, and baking. Her husband of 28 years, Melbourne R. Warner, died in 1975. She is survived by a son, Daryl Warner of Vail, Ariz.; a daughter, Cheryl Prue of Apalachin, N.Y.; five grandchildren, Andrew, Lesley, Kevin, Jason, and Tammy; one great-grandson, Luke; and nieces and nephews. Services will be held at the convenience of the family and burial will be in Beaverdale Cemetery, Hamden. Memorial contributions may be made to the Masonic Healthcare Center, 22 Masonic Avenue, Wallingford, CT 06492. Chadwick Funeral Service of New London, NH is assisting the family with arrangements.
