Esther Hammill Mrozek, age 86, of Trumbull passed away peacefully on Thursday, June 30, 2016 at her residence surrounded by her loving family. She was the beloved wife of Chester Mrozek. Born in Bridgeport on July 26, 1929, she was a daughter of the late Charles and Elizabeth Fogarty Hammill. Most recently she had been employed by Harvey's where she worked as the store manager and prior to that had been employed by W.T. Grant and also held various manufacturing positions throughout the Bridgeport area. Esther enjoyed reading and doing puzzles. Her family and friends enjoyed her baking skills especially at holidays. She loved enjoying vacations on and retiring to Cape Cod as she loved family time on the beach. Spending time with her family was her greatest joy. She was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother who will be dearly missed by all who loved her. In addition to her beloved husband Chester, other survivors include her children Thomas Mrozek and his wife Maureen of Milford, Liz Mrozek of Ansonia, Gerald Mrozek of Southbury and Gail Conway and her husband Tom of Monroe, her sister-in-law Joan Hammill of Trumbull, twelve grandchildren, Rachel, Heather, Cara, Jason, Kimberly, Kate, Christian, Ryan, Marc, Tom, Evan and Breanne, six great grandchildren, Jake, Clair, Madelyn, Johnny, Gavin and Caden as well as many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by five brothers, Charles, Jack, William, Thomas and Bobby and two sisters, Margaret Scollin and Ethel Kliolz. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, July 6, 2016 at 10:00 a.m. directly in Christ the King Church, 4700 Madison Ave., Trumbull. Interment will follow in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Trumbull. Friends may greet the family on Tuesday from 4-7 p.m. at the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Rd., Trumbull.
