Felix M. Burgos Sr.

BURGOS On Tuesday December 14, 2010, Felix M. Burgos Sr., also known as "Mr. Felix", of Naugatuck, entered Eternal Glory to meet his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. Felix was a good standing member of Iglesia Cristiana Senda Apostolica Pentecostal of Naugatuck, Ct. He is the husband of the late Dominga Burgos; father of the late Pastor Felix Burgos Jr.; Brother of Gloria Rodriguez of Florida and Jose Burgos of South Carolina. Felix was born in Puerto Rico before moving into the Bridgeport area in the 60's. For many years he operated Felix Super Market in Father Panik Village in Bridgeport and blessed many families in time of need. In 1980 with his son he opened the Bread of Life Christian Bookstore in Bridgeport, which is now the oldest Christian bookstore in Bridgeport. He is survived by his daughter and husband, Milagros and Hans Carlos Ruiz of Vermont; and his two sons, Jose L Burgos Sr. of Naugatuck and Roberto Burgos and his wife Lori Burgos of Bridgeport. He is also survived by 13 grandchildren Heriberto, Benjamin, Ramon Rodriguez and Rebecca Ortiz, Jose L. Burgos Jr, Marisol Velez, Maria L Burgos, Judie Burgos, Dianna Burgos, Rueben Burgos, Pastor Luis F Burgos of God's Victorious Army, Matthew and Christina Burgos; and 20 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends who will dearly and solely miss him. Friends are invited to attend calling hours on Monday, December 20, 2010 from 6 p.m. until the end of the service at God's Victorious Army Church, 857 Howard Avenue, Bridgeport. Funeral services will take place on Tuesday, December 21, 2010 beginning at 9 a.m. at the Church.
