Frank J. Stockmal, Sr., age 82, of Derby entered into rest on Wednesday, March 18, 2015 at his home with his loving family by his side. He was the devoted husband of 48 years to Dolores (Agriesto) Stockmal. Frank was born in Derby on November 8, 1932 son of the late Charles and Julia (Dobek) Stochmal and was a lifelong Derby resident. He was a Fabricator at Sikorsky Aircraft for 56 years until his retirement. Frank was a U.S. Airforce Veteran during Korea and was a lifelong member of the Catholic War Veterans St. Michael Post 1562. He is the beloved father of Frances Lombardi and her husband John, Stephen Stockmal, Christine Stockmal and her fiance Thomas Scharf and Frank Stockmal, Jr. and his wife Rhonda, brother of, Charles Stochmal, Helen Hanchryk, Genevieve Vincent, Theresa McNamara and Caroline Arbona. Frank is the loving grandfather of Robert, Richard and Rebekka Roshon, Ashley Schwarzkopf, Amber Simon, Katie Stockmal and Frank Stockmal, III and great grandfather of Evan Schwarzkopf and is also survived by several nieces and nephews. Frank is predeceased by his brothers, Peter, Joseph, Casmier, Stanley and Benjamin Stochmal and his sisters, Mary and Ann Stochmal, Josephine Bush, Sophie Hoynack, Elizabeth Gucwa and Stephanie Pczonka. Friends may call on Monday from 4-8 p.m. at the Edward F. Adzima Funeral Home, 253 Elizabeth St., Derby. On Tuesday, his funeral will leave at 10:15 a.m. for a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 a.m. at St. Michael Church.
