Wright Jr., Frank E.
Frank E. Wright, Jr., age 98, of Groveland, MA, passed away on October 23, 2012, at Penacook Place in Haverhill MA. Mr. Wright was the devoted husband of the late Virginia Ruggles Wright to whom he was married for 69 years. Born in Swampscott, MA on April 15, 1914, he was the son of the Frank E. Wright, Sr. and Grace Osgood Wright. Mr. Wright was a graduate of Tilton Academy, Bailey Military academy and the General Electric Apprentice School. He worked as a design specialist at GTE Research & Development and as a machine designer for General Electric before his retirement in 1979. He was a member, trustee, church school superintendent and a member of the Education Committee of the Universalist Unitarian Church in Haverhill, MA. He was a trustee of the Langley Adams Library, a volunteer driver for the Northern Essex Elder Transport, former board member of the West Newbury Forum, a member of the New England Genealogical Society and the Haverhill, Groveland and Georgetown Historical Societies. Mr. Wright was also a direct descendent of Robert Clement who was one of the original founders of Haverhill, MA. Mr. Wright is survived by his children, Mary Kranyak and her husband Michael of Stratford, CT, Frank W. Wright of York, Maine and Timothy R. Wright of Groveland, MA; three granddaughters, Lisa Morris(Andre) of Salem, NH, Connie Demko(James) of Stratford, CT and Margaret Wright of Durham, ME, two great grandsons, James and Michael Demko, and several nieces and nephews. He is predeceased by his wife Virginia R. Wright, brother Kenneth Wright and sister Joan Romnes. A Memorial Service was held on April 15th 2013 in Haverhill. Private internment will be held at Pine Grove Cemetery Lynn, MA
