George Thomas Dummar Sr, 72, of Naugatuck and formerly of Milford, passed away on Wednesday, October 3, 2012, in St. Mary Hospital in Waterbury. He was born on June 14, 1940, in Jersey City to the late George and Dorothy Fillmore Dummar. George was a loving husband, father, grandfather and poppy and was a retired Millrite from Avco. He is survived by his loving wife Barbara McGlaughlin Dummar, devoted children; George Thomas Dummar Jr. and his wife Patricia of Branford, Denise R. Petelle and her husband Glenn of Naugatuck, Thomas J. Dummar of Stratford. five grandchildren George Thomas III, Nicholas, Justin, Ryan and Evan, brother-in-laws Bart and his wife Rosemary McGlaughlin and Jack and his wife Sharon McGlaughlin both of New Jersey, Sisters; Judy Rosiello and her husband Chris of New Jersey, Betty Dummar Yanakos of Ohio and his dear friend Ron Haddock of New Jersey. Calling hours are Sunday, October 7, 2012 from 1 to 5pm at the Smith & Sefcik Funeral Home, 135 Broad St., Milford. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, October 8, 2012 at 11:00 am, in St. Ann's Church, 501 Naugatuck Avenue, Milford. Interment will follow in Kings Highway Cemetery.
