George Purington Obituary
Dec 09, 1936 - Mar 19, 2021. George W. Purington, 84 of Milford, Connecticut, beloved husband of 61 years to Claire Purington passed away March 19, 2021 at Milford Hospital. Born on December 9, 1936 in Gardiner, Maine to Charles Purington and Gertrude Straight Purington.
George was an incredible husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather. He was known far and wide for his incredible sense of humor, jokes and story telling. He was a dedicated provider and was literally there before you even knew you needed him. He loved spending time with loved ones, hunting, crossword puzzles and eating Lobster at the shore in Maine.
George leaves behind his children, Natalie Purington, Mark Purington; grandchildren Tanya Parker, Todd Parker, Justin Parker and Ashley Purington and 5 great-grandchildren; brothers, Ronald and Steve Purington, sister Judith (Perry) Purington Moore and predeceased sister Cheryl Purington King; many much loved nieces and nephews.

Love & prayers to the Purington family. I will always have nothing, but the fondest memories of the dear, sweet man he was. Will always cherish the motorcycle rides from my childhood, and the kind way he treated all of us kids.
