Gilberto J. Figueroa

FIGUEROA Gilberto J. Figueroa, age 79, of Shelton, entered into rest on Sunday, September 28, 2003 at Gardner Heights Convalescent Home. He was the devoted husband of 57 years to Hortensia Rivera Figueroa. He was born in Adjuntas, Puerto Rico, on March 29, 1924, the son of the late Cesario and Francisca Figueroa. He is the beloved father of Nilda Planas and her husband, John, Ada Andreoli, Joseph Figueroa and Evelyn Anna Figueroa; proud grandfather of 11 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by one grandson. Friends may call on Tuesday from 5 to 8 p.m. at the Riverview Funeral Home, 390 River Road, Shelton. His funeral will leave the funeral home on Wednesday at 10:15 a.m. for a Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m. at St. Joseph Church, Shelton. Burial will follow in Riverside Cemetery.
