Grace Hudes Covey

COVEY Grace Hudes Covey, died peacefully on June 18, 2008 in her 104th year. She was a daughter of the late Alexander and Mary Goldberg Hudes. Grace lived in New York City until coming to the Jewish Home for the Elderly in 2006, where she was endeared by all. She will be remembered for her extraordinary insight, selflessness and courage. She was a model for her survivors for whom she will remain a proud fixture in memory. Her survivors are son and daughter-in-law, Buz and Bonnie Covey; grandchildren, Anne Covey, David Covey and his wife, Robin, Aaron Covey and his wife, Cinthia, Michael Covey and his wife, Alec, and Laura Covey; and great-grandchildren, Zachary, Ethan, Sarah, Jason, Emma and Leah. Her family is eternally grateful to the wonderfully kind personnel of the Jewish Home for the Elderly with particular mention of the staffs of Tandet East, Bennett 4, and the coffee shop where Grace loved to linger. Services are private. A memorial service will be announced. Donations in her memory may be made to the Jewish Home for the Elderly of Fairfield. The Abraham L. Green & Son Funeral Home, is in care of arrangements.
