Gregory Raucci Obituary

RAUCCI Gregory F. Raucci, age 70, of Trumbull and Naples, Fla., the founder of Bismark Construction Company, died on Saturday, April 25, 2009, at his residence surrounded by his loving family. Born in Bridgeport, he was a son of the late Angelo and Celia D'Agostino Raucci, and was a Trumbull resident for many years. Mr. Raucci was a member of Bricklayers Union Local 1 and a past member of the Knights of Columbus. A devoted family man, survivors include his beloved wife, Alletta Charland Raucci; his children, Greg Raucci and his wife, Rita of Trumbull, Susan Sherwinsky and her husband, Mark of Shelton, Sandy Mercier and her husband, Bill of Monroe and Jeff Raucci and his wife, Jeanette of Monroe. Siblings include a sister, Maryann Inglis of Florida; and a brother, Paul Raucci and his wife, Helen of Milford. He is also survived by his 10 grandchildren, whom he loved and adored, Elizabeth and Gregory Raucci, Mark, Nicole and Jenna Sherwinsky, Will, Molly and John Mercier, and Isabella and Ava Raucci, and numerous cousins, nieces and nephews. Greg loved spending time with his family and was an avid UCONN Women's Husky fan. Friends are invited to meet directly in St. Catherine of Siena Church, 200 Shelton Road, Trumbull on Wednesday, April 29, 2009 at 10 a.m. for a Mass of Christian Burial. Entombment will follow in St. Monica Mausoleum in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Trumbull. Friends may call on Tuesday from 4 to 7 p.m. at Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Road, Trumbull.
