I’ve known Hal since the early 1980’s. He was a pleasure to work with and always made you laugh. His radio voice was wonderful to listen to. He officiated at my wedding in 2015; something he always wanted to do should I find the right one. Martha, I am so sorry for your loss. My condolences.

I was fortunate to sing with Hal in the Stratford Sister Cities Chorus. It was always wonderful to hear his resonant voice, either singing or announcing. He is truly with a choir of angels now!

My wife and I were very sorry to see Hal's obituary. I worked with him for many years at the Nighthawks games. I knew him as a kind, gentle man who was very down to earth. His voice was ideal for his job as the team's public address announcer, too. We've now lost several of our friends and colleagues from those nights at the NH Coliseum. I have nothing but fond memories of those evenings and the many laughs we all had with each other as we worked in our various capacities, in my case as a reporter. Rest in peace, Hal. Martha, I am so saddened to read this about Hal. Very fond memories of you both, from bowling (loved his gobble, gobble, gobble when one of us got a ‘turkey’), to dinner at your home, to Hal playing “wake Up Little Suzy” the following morning on WNAB. Ran into him while he was announcing the Stratford High School girls soccer game (my daughter on opposing team). As soon as I heard that voice, I knew instantly it was him. May he Rest In Peace and you find comfort during this time

Hal's narration of the Stratford Sister Cities Chorus concerts is legendary. It was a pleasure to sing with him for so many wonderful years. No doubt a Heavenly choir has recruited him for his many talents already. Heartfelt condolences to Martha from Lani and me.
