Harold Healy Obituary

HEALY Harold M. "Duke" Healy, age 82, of Trumbull, formerly of Wilton, husband of Stephanie Rozkewica Healy passed away peacefully Sunday, September 25, 2005, at Connecticut Hospice, Branford. Mr. Healy was born October 1, 1922 in Jersey City, N.J., son of the late Michael and Nora Fitzgerald Healy. Prior to moving to Trumbull six months ago, Mr. Healy had resided in Wilton for 55 years and before Wilton he spent 10 years in Westport. Prior to retiring in 1989, Mr. Healy was employed as a steamfitter for Fairfield County Sprinkler in Westport. During World War II, he served in the U.S. Army with the 466th Amphibian Truck Company in the Philippines. He is a member of the Joseph J. Clinton, VFW Post 399 and the National Automatic Sprinkler Association. He also was an avid gardener and loved fishing and carpentry. Survivors in addition his wife of 55 years includes two sons, Michael R. Healy and his wife, Eve, of Fairfield, and Tim J. Healy and his wife, Alison, of Shelton; one daughter, Ellen Boscia and her husband, Dr. Paul Boscia of Portsmouth, R.I.; one brother, William A. Healy and his wife, Gertrude of Fairfield; one sister, Eleanor Bednash and her husband, Al of Chicago, Ill.; four grandchildren, Michael and Robert Healy, Nicholas and Caroline Boscia and many nieces and nephews. Mr. Healy was predeceased by one son, Dennis Healy. Friends are invited to attend a graveside service with full military honors on Thursday at 11 a.m. in Willowbrook Cemetery, 395 Main St. Westport. The family will receive friends in the Harding Funeral Home, 210 Post Road E., Westport, Wednesday from 5 to 8 p.m. Contributions in memory of Mr. Healy may be made to Connecticut Hospice, Inc. 100 Double Beach Road, Branford, CT 06405
