Harold Lucas Obituary
Harold Lucas, age 88, formerly of Milford, and beloved husband to the late Dorothy Ruth, passed away on Monday, March 11, 2013 in Middletown. Born on February 22, 1925 in Bridgeport, he was the son of the late Gawn and Daisy Lucas. He graduated from Stratford HS and was a WWII veteran serving with the US Navy. Harold retired from American Chain and Cable Co. in Bridgeport and continued on to work part time at Orange Hills Country Club and for the Milford Board of Education hot lunch program. He was a devoted member of the First United Church of Christ Congregational for over 50 years. Harold loved his family, enjoyed his friends and …….. golf. Those who mourn his passing include brother George Lucas of Westerly, RI; two daughters Nancy Lucas and Gail Morris of Middletown; one son, Craig Lucas of Milford; four grandchildren, Heather and Edmond Vianney; John Morris Jr. and his wife Nicole and Peter Morris; and six beautiful great-grandchildren. In addition to his beloved wife, Dorothy Ruth of 57 years and his parents, he was predeceased by two brothers, Edward and William Lucas and a sister, Elizabeth Coates.
Friends and family may call on Friday, March 15th from 11:30 am to 12:30 pm followed by a Prayer Service at 12:30 pm at the Cody-White Funeral Home with the Reverend Adam Eckhart officiating. Burial to follow at King's Highway Cemetery, Milford. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Parkinson's Disease Foundation, 1359 Broadway, Suite 1509, New York, NY 10018. We are so very sorry to hear of Uncle Harold's passing. We all loved him very much especially Bill. We have such wonderful memories of holidays and picnics which we will treasure forever. Bill is not able to travel and we unfortunately will not be able to attend the service, but know our thoughts and prayers are with you all.

We were so sorry to hear about your Dad. We are in Florida and won't be back until next week. I didn't have your numbers . As you know he was everyones favorite.
