Helen Schraeder Kuhn

KUHN Helen Schraeder Kuhn, age 80, devoted wife of the late Thomas Kuhn Sr., of Fairfield, died on Monday, June 7, 2004, in Bridgeport. Born in Scranton, Pa., Helen had been a longtime resident of the Black Rock section of Bridgeport before moving to Fairfield three years ago. She worked for more than 30 years as a buyer and salesperson for the Fairfield Department Store, and five years in the Isabel Elan Shop of Westport. In the past, Helen had been an active volunteer for St.Ann school and parish, and was a former member of the Port Five Naval Women's Auxillary. She is survived by her daughter, Jeanne Fredrick, and her husband, Barry, of Milford; One sister, (who was Helen's best friend), Elizabeth Woehrle, of Bridgeport; four grandchildren, Barry A Fredrick of Milford, Timothy M Fredrick of Stratford, Kimberly E Kuhn of Bridgeport, and Dale Mark Kuhn Jr., of Ansonia; One daughter-in-law, Elaine Kuhn, of Bridgeport; One brother-in-law, Russell Kuhn, of Bridgeport; several nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband, she was predeceased by two sons, Thomas J Kuhn, and Dale Mark Kuhn. Funeral services will be held on Thursday at 9:15 a.m. in the LESKO FUNERAL HOME, 1209 Post Road in Fairfield Center, and 10 a.m. at St. Ann's Church, Bridgeport. Interment will follow at St. Michael's Cemetery.
